Staff Analysis
Description: The applicant has submitted a request to rezone an approximately 3.5 acre parcel. The parcel will be rezoned from PUD (Planned Unit Development) to OLPF (Open Lands and Public Facilities) zone district. The current zoning allows for agricultural purposes including grazing animals, growing crops. The rezoning request would allow for the site to be a public park for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The subject parcel is Open Lands in the 2016 Comprehensive Plan. The property is also located within a conservation easement. The proposed public park use is consistent with the comprehensive plan and easement. The park use in anticipated to provide a beneficial neighborhood amenity to the area.
Long Range Financial Plan: The subject proposal is not anticipated to impact the long range financial plan.
Construction plans will be reviewed by the Engineering Division in conjunction with the Open Space and Trails Department.
