For 48 years, Cultivate has dedicated itself to helping seniors flourish through active engagement with their communities. Our original charter focused on engaging seniors in the community through volunteerism – connecting their rich experience with organizations in need of their services. As we started to understand the needs of the community, Cultivate began to offer its own direct services to fill the gaps that were, otherwise, left unmet.

Today, over 800 volunteers generously dedicate their time each year to support our senior neighbors through programs such as rides to medical appointments for military veterans and their senior family members; grocery shopping and delivery; minor home repairs; snow shoveling and yard cleanup. They also serve in varying volunteer placements in over 20 partner agencies throughout Boulder County.

By providing services at no cost, Cultivate helps seniors remain independent, yet connected, within their communities. Beyond the medical rides, groceries or other services, Cultivate volunteers provide something even more transformational - reprieve from isolation. Both clients and volunteers benefit from the socialization with one another, and family members enjoy peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones are receiving much needed services from caring members of the community.
