ARCHIVED
This project was discontinued in 2020 for more up to date information on zoning code changes, please contact the City and County of Broomfield Planning team at Planning@Broomfield.org.
The City and County of Broomfield is working to complete a thorough assessment of Broomfield’s land development regulations and plans, including:
Broomfield Municipal Code Title 16 (Subdivision Regulations)
Broomfield Municipal Code Title 17 (Zoning Regulations)
Broomfield Legacy Zone District Regulations from Adams County, Boulder County, Jefferson County, and Weld County (incorporated at the time of annexation)
Broomfield’s current Urban Renewal Plans (11 documents)
Broomfield’s current Sub-Area and Neighborhood Plans (10 documents)
Goals:
The main objectives of the assessment are to identify weaknesses or gaps in the current regulations that:
make it difficult for the city and county to implement the Broomfield 2016 Comprehensive Plan;
are inconsistent with Broomfield’s Guiding Values;
are inconsistent with the requirements of state or federal law; or
- unnecessarily complicate administration of land development and redevelopment projects.
The project will also help determine how the current regulations can be made more easily understood and user-friendly for Broomfield’s citizens, property owners, and businesses.
