The 2024 Broomfield 101 forums took place in August and September 2024. Community members were encouraged to submit questions 48 hours in advance of each forum. Recordings can be found under the "Summaries and Recordings" tab below.
Forum Descriptions
All forums will take place from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Broomfield City Council Chambers at One Descombes Drive.
Economic and Fiscal Update
The 2023 Community Survey highlighted fiscal sustainability and resilience as the community’s most important goal. Learn more about how the City and County of Broomfield (CCOB) intends to support this goal at the Broomfield 101: Economic and Fiscal Update Forum. The forum will provide the opportunity to hear from CCOB staff on this topic and questions can be asked of the experts. Please submit questions up to 48 hours prior to the forum. The Fiscal and Economic Outlook forum will take place Aug. 22.
Economic Vitality and Development Forum
Learn about current and future development anticipated in Broomfield at the Broomfield 101: Economic Vitality and Development forum. The forum will provide the opportunity to hear from city and county staff on these topics and questions can be asked of the experts. Please submit questions up to 48 hours prior to the forum. The Economic Vitality and Development forum will take place Aug. 28.
Transportation Forum
Learn about regional transportation projects, local multimodal projects and programs, and traffic engineering/traffic safety at the Broomfield 101: Transportation forum. The forum will provide the opportunity to hear from city and county staff on these topics and questions can be asked of the experts. Please submit questions up to 48 hours prior to the forum. The Transportation forum will take place Sept. 4.
Elections Forum
Learn more about elections in Broomfield, like how to register to vote, important election deadlines and dates, locations of secure ballot drop boxes and where to find election results by attending the Broomfield 101: Elections Forum. The forum will provide the opportunity to hear from city and county Elections staff on these topics and questions can be asked of the experts. Please submit questions up to 48 hours prior to the forum. The Elections forum will take place Sept. 11.
Public Safety
Learn more about public safety in Broomfield, like crime stats, community engagement efforts and future initiatives by attending the Broomfield 101: Public Safety Forum. The forum will provide the opportunity to hear directly from Chief Hempelmann on these topics and questions can be asked of the experts. Please submit questions up to 48 hours prior to the forum. The Public Safety Forum will take place Sept. 25.
Public Engagement
These public forums allow the community to hear from subject matter experts about current and future outlook of the City and County of Broomfield. You can participate in the Broomfield 101 forums by submitting questions you'd like the presenters to address at least 48 hours in advance of each forum. Forum dates and times are listed above and recordings will be uploaded to this page under the "Summaries and Recordings" section.
