Participate in the community listening tour to share your experiences and perceptions of the Broomfield Police, as well as your ideas for police engagement in Broomfield! The Broomfield Police Department (BPD) is excited to hear directly from the community. Learn how you can participate in these community listening sessions by reading below.

Project Overview

This listening tour is an opportunity for you to connect with BPD and give honest feedback. Your participation will help the BPD understand what the department is doing well, what they can improve and how community members want to engage with the police. Throughout 2024, the BPD will be listening to community members through community listening sessions, focus groups and online surveys.

Participate in a community listening session to share your experiences interacting with the police, potential concerns and how you think police engagement in Broomfield can be improved. At the community listening sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in group activities and discuss topics in small groups facilitated by Broomfield police officers. The BPD is excited to listen to the community and hear firsthand experiences, concerns and ideas.

Community listening sessions will be held at the following dates and locations. Registration is required:

  • June 12 from 4-6 p.m. at the Broomfield Community Center. Prize drawing and light dinner will be provided. Register now!
  • July 10 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Broomfield Community Center. Prize drawing and light dinner will be provided. Registration coming soon.


Public Engagement

There are multiple opportunities for you to share your experiences and feedback with the Broomfield Police. These include an online pulse survey, participating in a community listening session and participating in a focus group. The BPD will compile and analyze stories and experiences shared by the community to determine the department’s strengths and identify ways to improve engagement with the community. All feedback will be compiled, analyzed and shared with the BPD, City Council and the community.

    Take the survey below to share more about your experience, impressions and interactions with the Broomfield Police Department. The Broomfield Police Department (BPD) is conducting an ongoing engagement effort to listen to the community about interactions and experiences with the BPD, understand concerns and reservations with the department and explore ideas for improving services and programs moving forward.


    Survey responses will help inform a more in-depth community listening tour in summer 2024. Ultimately, the Broomfield Police Department will use feedback from the survey and in-person listening sessions to learn how the community would like to engage with the department, which in turn, will be used to direct future engagement efforts, programs and services.
